Hamidia Girls Inter College is one of the oldest and pioneer institutions of learning in the city of Allahabad. It has been established by Begum Khursheed Khwaja, daughter of Nawab Hamidullah Khan and a companion of Mahatma Gandhi in the Indian freedom struggle. She named the Hamidia, after her father’s name. It was established especially for Muslim minority girls who were deprived of access to education.
The College is a unique example of growth and development. At present approximately 2700 students are enrolled in the College. We are striving hard to expend quality education to underprivileged Muslim girls. The College is committed to the all round development of the students keeping the holistic approach in mind. Student-centric extracurricular activities, sports, debate, lectures on various burning topics and cultural programmes are regular features of the College.
